Five-star hotel luxury, a marble-floored bathroom food prepared by gourmet chefs, and elaborate lounges and this Japanese luxury train, Shiki-Shima, has it all!
The Shiki-Shima made its first trip on May 1, from Tokyo to the northern island of Hokkaido. It was designed by Ken Kiyoyuyki, formerly a senior designer for Porsche and General Motors.
According to reports, rolling five-star hotel is highly exclusive. Only 34 passengers can ride per trip, and it's already sold out through March 2018.
With Tokyo hosting the 2020 Olympic number of tourists in the country has peaked. High demands for a ride in Shiki Shima Luxury Train has forced the authorities to shell out tickets through a lottery system, state reports.
This Luxury train, operated by the East Japan Railway has several rooms made of cypress wood and tickets per person costs a whopping 9,50,000 Japanese Yen per ticket.
